Hong Kong is a vibrant city that offers numerous cultural experiences for visitors. It is also surrounded by nature, and there are countless hikes and beaches to explore.

We have arranged a few tours/hikes with external companies for Sunday, March, 15th. These tours are self-paid and organized by other operators.

So Lo Pun Hike:
18km hike through abandoned villages, forest, and coastal trails. Private guide can take maximum 5 people. Details will be provided separately.

Museums:
M+ — West Kowloon Cultural District — Half day — Taxi / MTR — Large, excellent contemporary art museum. Located inside the broader West Kowloon Cultural District.
Hong Kong Palace Museum — West Kowloon Cultural District — 2–4 hours — Taxi / MTR — Antiquities connected to the Forbidden City plus rotating overseas exhibitions. Easy to pair with M+.
Hong Kong Maritime Museum — Central (ferry pier) — 1–2 hours — Walk / MTR / taxi — Convenient add-on while touring Central.
Tai Kwun — Central — 1–3 hours — Walk / MTR / taxi — Restored police station complex with heritage exhibitions, courtyards, and lots of restaurants.
Hong Kong Museum of Art — Tsim Sha Tsui (Kowloon) — 1–3 hours — Taxi / MTR / Star Ferry — Not walking distance from M+ but easy to reach via transit or ferry.
Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defense — Shau Kei Wan — 1–3 hours — Taxi / MTR — Set in a disused fortification; exhibits on Hong Kong history.
Hong Kong Heritage Museum — Sha Tin — 2–4 hours — Taxi (longer) / MTR — Cultural exhibits; best if you’re already heading to the New Territories.
Walking Tours & Hikes:
The Peak & Central - (classic route) — Central → Peak — Half day — Peak Tram / taxi / bus — Start in Central: Hong Kong Park + St John’s Cathedral near the tram terminus. Nearby highlights include the outdoor escalator, Tai Kwun, and antique shops on Hollywood Road.

Optional trails: Lung Fu Shan Morning Trail (starts on Hatton Road above HKU campus) or Central Green Trail. Both involve substantial climbs.
Dragon’s Back and Shek O (hike + beach) — Hong Kong Island (east) — Half / full day — Taxi (recommended) — Dragon’s Back is a 6–8 km hike with ~300 m climb and great views. Bring proper shoes and water. Finish at Shek O for a relaxed village + beach.

Temples:
Big Buddha (Lantau Island) — Lantau — Half / full day — Taxi / public transport — Large Buddha statue plus museum and a well-known vegetarian restaurant.

Chi Lin Nunnery and Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple — Kowloon — 2–4 hours — Taxi / MTR — Two very different sites right next to each other; worth visiting together.

Tsz Shan Monastery — Tai Po — Half day — Taxi — Giant shrine built by Li Ka-shing.
